Eve & Rose

28 January 2017, posted by Rue des Petits

Meet Berengere, founder of Eve & Rose

London, 28th January 2017.

Natural products, pretty packaging, good causes and a lovely mum. This is the story of Eve & Rose, launched by Berengere, that I met a year ago, and then decided to take her beautiful range on board of Rue des Petits.

She wanted to offer a range of 100% natural skincare products for expecting and new mums, but also to offer a new vision of what small businesses could be nowadays. 50% of her benefits are donated to a well established charity, Children of the Mekong.

This year, the benefits made by Eve & Rose have helped funding the Batang Mekong Nursery in Cebu City, Philippines. In this City, over 150 families work in a giant landfill site. The Nursery was created to help and look after the young children living in the slums. Today tens of assistants (mums that were trained through the project to get a qualification)  are helping 86 children between 1 and 6 years old, in a sanitary and educative way. Parents are also supported by the project to help them get a qualification in order to find an alternative job to working in the landfill site.

I wish this range existed when I had my daugthers as I know how difficult it is to find products you can trust. I am very happy and pround to be featuring Eve & Rose as part of my selection as it represents everything I like.

The range includes

> Precious Body Oil

> Anti Stretch-marks serum

> Nourishing Body Lotion

Berengere lives with her husband and her little girl between UK and Australia (yes it's currenlty Summer for her #notjealous #sojealous!!) and took some of her precious time to answer our Rue des Petits questionnaire... So here it is:

>> What is the story behind your brand?

Eve & Rose was born from my passion and conviction. I wanted to create soft and natural skincare products for pregnant women and new mothers and at the same time to help amazing and meaningful social projects.

 >> What are you the most proud of?

When I receive messages of mums telling me that they have used Eve & Rose products throughout their pregnancy and that they will continue after.

 >> How do you find the balance between work and family?

My husband is my best partner. He does everything I do not have time to do (it means a lot…)

 >> What are your future challenges and dreams for your brand?

To expand our line of products and try new foreign markets.

>> You in a few words.

My name is Bérengère. I am the mother of Charlotte, a 16-months-old-little girl. We commute between London, Paris (where I come from) and Melbourne (where my husband is born). That requires a lot of organisation but every day is different!

>> 3 things that you like/ don’t like?

The last cuddle of my daughter before sleeping, traveling (of course)  and cooking

>> Your typical mumpreneur day?

A « typical Mumpreneur Day»? How is that possible ? I work as soon as I have the opportunity. Just one rule: I stop at 7pm and try to stop looking at my emails afterwards.

>> The UK for you in 3 words?

Family, Friends and Food

>> Favourite places in London?

Columbia Road for flowers, Exmouth Market for restaurants and East London canal for Sunday strolls.

>> Your style in 3 words?

Feminine, casual and easy going

>> Best childhood memories?

Summer in the French countryside with my cousins.

>> Best gift you have ever received? A painting with my husband and my daughter

>> Best gift you have ever made?  A necklace from The Marceline

>> Which gifts to your children? She is a little girl so it is still easy to make her happy! She is always happy to play with her grandparents, cousins or us.

>> Your dream present? Holidays in New Caledonia (Chéri, if your read this interview, keep it in mind…)

>> How active are you on social Medias? Where can we follow you?

I am addicted to Instagram (@eveetrose).

>> 3 accounts to follow on Instagram?

@Ryansheppeck for travel pics
@etdieucrea for family pics

>> Young designers you like and would recommend?

>> One secret you want to share with us?
